Job description
Who we are
At Software Improvement Group (SIG), we empower organizations to enhance their software quality through deep source code analysis and tailored, strategic advice. Our software assurance platform, Sigrid, together with our expert IT consultants, enables our customers to take full control of their software environments, ensuring their technology is a driver of success, not a source of risk. We have a strong market presence and serious growth ambitions for the coming years, and we are looking for people who want to help us realize this.
In recent years, SIG has enhanced its market position and diversified its revenue streams, emphasizing scalable and partner-driven growth. As we embark on the next phase of our development—both organically and internationally—we are seeking an energetic and analytically strong (Senior) Business Controller to help us achieve this goal.
Where you come in
As a (Senior) Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting SIG's commercial and financial performance in a rapidly changing business environment. You will act as a strategic finance partner to the Sales, Delivery, and Management teams, providing clear insights into performance drivers, revenue composition, profit margins, and opportunities for future growth.
With a growing emphasis on partner-driven growth and scalable revenue streams, you will help translate strategic initiatives into effective financial guidance, forecasts, and management reporting. Your contributions will strengthen our performance management framework and enhance our finance and reporting processes, including improvements to our ERP and reporting systems.
Additionally, you will support SIG's international development agenda by driving organic commercial expansion and, when necessary, assisting with acquisition and integration activities. The (Senior) Business Controller will report directly to the CFO and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders throughout the organization. For those aspiring to advance in leadership, this role offers a solid foundation for career growth into broader finance leadership responsibilities, potentially leading to a CFO role in the future.
What's in it for you?
A unique career opportunity for an ambitious, result-driven Finance professional, who is looking for the next step with the opportunity to grow into the role of CFO in the coming years.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Serve as a finance business partner to Sales and Delivery leadership, aiding in strategic and commercial decision-making.
Provide insights into revenue development, margin changes, and the revenue mix, including the performance of partner channels.
Deliver management reports, business analyses, and forward-looking forecasts to support sustainable and scalable growth.
Assist with budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning that align with strategic priorities.
Contribute to the optimization of finance processes and reporting structures within our ERP environment.
Manage project administration and financial project control, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure timely and accurate invoicing processes while monitoring work-in-progress and project billing status.
Track project performance and margins, facilitating operational follow-up and cash flow management.
Support initiatives that enhance the scalability and effectiveness of our marketing and indirect sales organization.
