As part of our ambitious international growth strategy, we are looking for a Global Marketing Manager who can lead a global team, represents Marketing in the leadership team, and understands the complexity of the global education business.



Where you come in

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer based in Utrecht, the Global Marketing Manager will be responsible for the global marketing strategy, vision and marketing efforts to support our entry and expansion into key markets North America, Europe and Asia. Managing a team of marketing professionals, you’ll develop and execute a clearly defined marketing, product marketing and communications strategy that drives demand generation, increases brand awareness and strengthens our company’s position as a thought leader.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all global (product) marketing efforts to achieve the company objectives around revenue, growth and visibility – all while ensuring a consistent message and position aligned with our vision and mission.


You’ll partner with Sales Management to develop demand generation plans and programs supporting both global and region growth targets. As the data driven marketing leader you have experience with growth marketing and 360 degrees marketing, ranging from digital always-on campaigns to top-notch Account-Based Marketing programs. You love measuring, broadcasting and celebrating success together with your team. You are also used to work with Product Owners and (in- and external) Subject Matter Experts to develop product marketing material. In collaboration with the Proposition Manager and Product Management and together with your marketing team, you’ll be responsible for the development and roll-out of global go-to-market programs and product launch campaigns.

You’ll oversee and continually refine our corporate and strategic messaging, ensuring brand standards are maintained across all materials and channels. As such you serve as senior editor to develop/proof read the required content (E.g. proposition material, customer case studies, v/blog posts, web pages, whitepapers, webinars, press releases, sales material) and act as the driving force to conceptualize and strategize an evolving product marketing and content calendar.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the marketing team in driving brand awareness, demand generation and GTM strategy globally, while localizing messaging for various regional market segments
  • Develop short-, medium- and long-term demand generation strategies
  • Manage the marketing budget and measure the success of marketing activities, with metrics that include unique web visitors, qualified information requests and qualified leads, ROI on campaigns and events, contribution to sales pipeline, cost per lead and production of marketing materials
  • Support the regional sales operations in delivering against the business plan; facilitate business development and nurture & customer retention marketing campaigns
  • Develop and deliver a marketing calendar that includes push and pull direct marketing campaigns, target messaging, and releases of new solutions and products.
  • Manage industry analysts, PR, social media and community building efforts for customers, prospects and influencers, in alignment with the corporate programs and guidelines
  • Track and optimize the lead/sales conversion funnel to maximize demand, including generation and nurture of leads using ABM strategies and marketing automation tactics.
  • Build market intelligence within the MAP/CRM databases (i.e. maintenance of account data, creation of e-mail lists, accounting for permission-based marketing) to extend outreach of marketing and sales activities
  • Simultaneously manage multiple marketing instruments (events, campaigns, PR, etc.)
  • Deliver against agreed-upon timelines, schedules, and expectations

Requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in developing and executing B2B marketing strategies, including lead generation, sales enablement, product- and brand marketing;
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing a B2B marketing team in education or IT / digital domain;
  • Excellent and demonstrable English copywriting skills (US English) proficiency in Dutch is a nice to have;
  • Ability to think strategically, as well as practically and operationally;
  • MBA with focus in International Business; bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications;
  • Experience in working effectively in global teams.
